The initial results of some competitive players were groans, but the change is successful: The sliding has retained its fluid nature, and it does not allow people to control gun fights by spamming the mechanic.

Another advantage under the rug is that of flexibility of perks. Since Dexterity is no longer required, players will be able to test out previously neglected loadouts. Want to use Tac mask to overcome stun? Or Cold-Blooded not to get drones? Now you are able, without any loss of movement fluency. Such variety brings about a freshness in the matches since not two players will take the same approach to fights.

The changes in the mobility in Black Ops 7 are not related to making the game faster, but making it fairer and more entertaining.
